Review: Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette

FullSizeRender-7

When this palette was first announced, we all knew it would be good. Literally everything Jaclyn Hill touches turns to gold… She’s Queen of Champagne Pop, the highlighter that shimmers a hello to the Gods, so we should naturally expect any collab to be a hit.

By no surprise, this palette was nothing short of amazing. I’m not saying that because it sold out twice in one month, but you are getting 35 high-quality, gorgeous shadows for $38. For $1/shadow, you really can’t beat that price – especially when you are getting mattes, shimmers, satins, foils AND glitter formulas.

The color payoff is incredible. I guess when it takes 2 years to plan and create, the outcome is totally worth it because every shadow does exactly what it says it will do. I barely tap an eyeshadow against a brush and can instantly see pigment. I spritz setting spray before using the shimmers/glitters and boy does it make those shimmery shadows SHINE.

The only thing I could complain about is the packaging. The shadows sit in a cardboard-like case so it can get messy quick. I definitely wouldn’t recommend taking this on trips given the lack of protection.

🚨 UPDATE ALERT 🚨 Restock is set for Tuesday, August 22 at 8am PT/10am CT/11am ET. Set your alarms! The first and second batches sold out in approx. 45 minutes so tell you’re boss you have an “important phone call” and grab one before they’re gone again! Once they’re available, you can buy them here. Overall, my favorites are Butter, Pooter, Pool Party, Beam and Obsessed, but let’s be real… I love them all 😀
